The firm leverages this expertise to fuel their continued growth, while at the same time inspiring their team members to achieve their full potential and giving them the tools they need to succeed.
MATT MARTIN, CEO, Co-Founder
In 2011, Matt founded Sperlonga Data and Analytics LLC (Sperlonga) to provide services for resolving HOA claims and liens that often impede remarketing efforts for distressed real estate.
RON BRIGGS, Chief Operating Officer
Ron has spent the majority of his career in the REO and default management space, getting his start in the foreclosure department at Lomas Mortgage USA. Before joining MMREM, Ron was employed at Saxon as a Senior Vice President of REO, Property Preservation, and Default Invoicing. Prior to Saxon, Ron spent time at Washington Mutual as the Vice President of REO, and many years at HomeSteps, the Freddie Mac real estate sales unit, in a multitude of roles.
Ron currently maintains his Texas Real Estate Broker’s License, holds his GRI Designation, and is currently seeking his CPM Designation from IREM (Institute of Real Estate Management). Ron received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance with a Real Estate Specialization from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX.
BRETT ODOM, CMA CAIA, Chief Financial Officer
Brett possesses both financial and operational leadership expertise, including the creation of significant value for private equity investors as a senior manager in operating companies and investment projects. Prior to joining MMREM, Brett served as Managing Partner and Chief Financial Officer for Cornerstone Partners, managing more than $200 million in private equity investment assets, and has been involved in the development of more than 1,500 multifamily units in Class A high-rise buildings throughout the Washington, D.C. area.
As Chief Financial Officer at ATAC LLC, a high growth government contracting firm, he built an accounting, finance, HR and IT infrastructure from scratch and provided turnaround leadership. In this role he also led M&A, negotiated multi-million dollar contracts with domestic and international suppliers, and contributed to a successful exit for the firm’s private equity sponsors.
Early in his career Brett served as a Naval Aviator flying the F/A-18 Hornet. He is a graduate of the Navy Fighter Weapons School (Top Gun), a veteran of multiple deployments around the globe, and has led large force missions as a Carrier Air Wing Strike Lead during combat operations.
Brett holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Harvard Business School. He is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), a Chartered Alternative Investment Adviser (CAIA), and an active member of Financial Executives International (FEI).
JODEE E. MCGRATH, J.D., General Counsel
Jodee is a licensed attorney and is skilled in serving in senior in-house counsel leadership roles for companies in the fields of information technology (IT) supplies and services, technical and professional services, and internet and energy consulting services. Jodee’s areas of practice include managing all corporate legal matters relating to Federal Government sales and contracting, as well as negotiating and drafting complex corporate agreements, including multi-state real estate leasing portfolios, merger and acquisition (M&A) agreements, facility and equipment leasing, IT licensing, technical services and financing agreements.
Jodee received her Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore and is a member of the Maryland State Bar. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Mary Baldwin College with a degree in Mathematics. Jodee is an active member of the Washington Metropolitan Area Corporate Counsel Association (WMACCA), the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) and the Association of Corporate Growth, National Capital Chapter (ACG).
NOAH MARTIN, Senior Vice President of Business Development
Noah brings a wealth of knowledge to MMREM from his years of experience in business development and default management services as a senior executive within the government contracting industry. Very active throughout the real estate and finance community, Noah serves as consultant to multiple finance and real estate groups. He is also the founder of the Northern Virginia Value Investors as well as a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) and the Asian Real Estate Association of America (ARREA).
Noah received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Messiah College in Grantham, PA. He continued his education and received his Master’s degree in Philosophy of Science from University of Toronto.
